Street Photography is one of the oldest forms of photography. Street photography must have come into existence as soon as the cameras become portable! A street photograph can also be termed as a realistic photograph where everything is un-staged. No one gives a pose, or there are no artificial light and studio settings to capture a single shot. Street Photography captures places and people, couples in candid positions within the public domain. By public domain I mean streets, parks, platform, bus stop, etc.
Basically, street photography is clicking pictures on the street! As a photography enthusiast, I believe that for a great street photograph, firstly the photographer needs to click as many pictures as he can and secondly he should not be hesitant. A street photographer should not hesitate in asking someone to click a picture of. He should not mind the people and the surroundings, rather he should just go about doing his job of clicking pictures. Some of the greatest street photographers you would find are Eugène Atget, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Garry Winogrand amongst the many!
